Football: Town await Leeds after Park Avenue win

HARROGATE Town face Leeds United on Tuesday night in their final pre-season match, having beaten Bradford Park Avenue 5-1 on Saturday.

The kick off time for this match has been amended to 7.15pm due to unforeseen circumstances.

The hosts opened the scoring at the Horsfall Stadium, but soon after Graeme Armstrong scored an equaliser. Playing against his former club, Aiden Savory put Town ahead on 17 minutes after good work from Armstrong and Martin Foster. The first half ended with Richard Pell heading home from Foster's corner kick.

Wayne Phillips provided the cross for Armstrong to head in his second goal of the afternoon on 68 minutes, before Phillips netted himself two minutes later.
