Blue Square North: Vauxhall Motors 1 Harrogate Town 2

HARROGATE Town picked up their first away win of the season surviving a late scare to hold on for another crucial victory in their quest for Blue Square North survival.

Simon Weaver's side came into the contest on the back of Saturday's fine 2-0 victory over Gainsborough.

They followed this with a hard fought 2-1 triumph at closest rivals Vauxhall.

Town went in 2-0 to the good at the break through goals from Peter Knox (30 minutes) and Simon Yeo (33 minutes).

Motors pulled one back on 68 minutes but Town had enough in the tank to see off any late resistance.

Weaver will be looking for their third game on the bounce on Saturday when they welcome AFC Telford to the CNG Stadium.
