Albion sunk at home by Armthorpe

TADCASTER Albion’s run of poor form continued on Saturday with a 2-0 defeat at home to Armthorpe Welfare.
In front of a crowd of 96, Albion were 2-0 down by half-time, after James Walker (25) and Joe Lumsden (39) both found the net.
The second half saw Albion shore up their defences, but their strikers were unable to penetrate Armthorpe’s own back four.
The defeat means Paul Marshall’s troops have slipped to fifth in the NCEL Premier.
They take on Liversedge away on Saturday, before a trip to Barton Town Old Boys in the President’s Cup semi-finals the following Tuesday.
Over the in the West Yorkshire Premier Division, reigning champions BARDSEY crushed title hopefuls KNARESBOROUGH TOWN 4-0 at Keswick Lane.
Colin Heath, Rob Dickinson, Matt Dalton and Mike Toney were all on target for Lee Barraclough’s men, who are now a point behind Knaresborough in third place.
