Tips from Wetherby golf club’s Mark Daubney: Chipping over a bunker
Mark says: “This usually sends fear shivering down the spine of many a golfer, but it shouldn’t.
“Most bunkers don’t have height so we don’t actually have to go ‘over’ them but merely past them using the club with the right loft to do what we need when landing on the green.
“I see many people looking skyward when faced with a bunker in the way, why? Learn to take the mystique away from them, they are only holes in the ground to get past, not giant trees to get over!”
