The Harrogate and District Union Junior team are well under way with preparations for the coming season.

Having finished a very credible fourth in the Yorkshire Inter-District League in 2011,a new squad is being assembled to improve on last year’s achievements.

Members of the team met at Rudding Park Golf Academy for the second time in four weeks last Sunday.

A quick warm-up session on the driving range followed by a challenging foursomes competition on the 10 hole main course layout was the order of the day.

With the course in fine condition and play on full greens the team enjoyed some friendly banter especially on the short holes where there were special prizes for accurate shots.

Ollie White from Pannal was clearly in-form on the short holes and finished his day by having a hole-in-one on the Repton course after completing the main course challenge.

The boys are back at Rudding Park Academy in January for more pre-season sessions and are hoping to play a couple of friendly matches before the season starts.
