AN INJURY stricken Harrogate Town this week signed a contract with a man that could be the answer to their current problem.
Town manager Simon Weaver completed the signing on Wednesday of striker Paul Beesly from local rivals Harrogate Railway.
Talking to the Advertiser, Weaver said: “I had heard about him before when he was knocking them in at Boroughbridge.
“The current injury situation pushed it further, but he’s had a change in his football lately and wanted to come here and give it a go.
“He’s a bull of a man and I like him a lot.
“He’s got a great attitude and he wants to listen and he’s receptive, but we need to give him time to acclimatise and show some patience.
“This is an opportunity for him and I’m sure it’s one he wants to take.”
Beesley, who scored twice this season for Harrogate Railway, joined the side after switching from West Yorkshire League outfit Boroughbridge.
