HARROGATE Town stormed to a 3-1 win at home to Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday.
Town had all the pressure in the first half but couldn’t make it count, despite close calls for Craig James and Wayne Phillips.
But three goals in seven minutes at the start of the second half set the game alight.
On 49 minutes, a centre by Ryan Williams was nodded home by Ryan Kendall, to put Gainsborough in front but this wasn’t for long as Town netted two goals in two minutes
Chib Chilaka squared to Graeme Armstrong who drove the ball into the far corner, and then Craig James thundered throught a crowded penalty area as Trinity failed to clear a corner.
Ex-Town favourite Nathan Peat missed an opportunity to level when he fired over the Town bar after Bowey had was caught for handball.
Peat then pulled down Chilaka in the box with 20 minutes remaining, meaning, Armstrong slammed in his second from the spot to make the game safe.
Town are now 15 in the Blue Square North.
And in the Evo-Stik League First Division North, HARROGATE RAILWAY returned to winning ways at Leight Genesis, victorious by two goals to one thanks to strikes by Wayne Harratt (14) and Michael Duckworth (90).
