HARROGATE Town came within minutes of claiming maximum points at Boston United on Saturday, but were forced to 2-2 draw.

Boston managed to pinch a point with an equaliser in the fifth minute of injury time.

With Chib Chilaka and Wayne Phillips leading the Boston attack, Town dominated and took the lead on 30 minutes when Adam Nowakowski side-footed through Boston’s defence from close range.

They then went 2-0 up seven minutes later when Richard Mashall latched on to a Phillips cross to drive home.

Boston pulled a goal back in the 66th minute through sub Spencer Weir-Daley but couldn’t find a way through for the remainder of the game.

However, five minutes of injury time was enough for them to dig out an equaliser, when Weir-Daley forced the ball home.

Town host Redditch United on Tuesday night in their next Blue Square North encounter.

Meantime HARROGATE RAILWAY drew 1-1 at home to Witton Albion in the Evo-Stik League First Division North, Colin Hunter scoring in the 26th minute.
