HARROGATE Town picked up a point from a lacklustre nil-nil draw at home to Guiseley on Tuesday.
Simon Weaver’s troops were unable to break the deadlock against their derby rivals, who are flying high near the top of the Blue Square North table in fifth place.
But an impressive display by new ‘keeper Chris Elliott also meant Guiseley failed to find the net.
Genuine scoring chances were few and far between, although Lee Ellington hit the post and Gary King had an early first half chance after a wayward Guiseley back pass.
At the other end Luke Needham and Darren Stamp also threatened with a shot which edged wide and another that rebounded off the Town crossbar.
Town sit 15th in the table and welcome Redditch United on Saturday in their next Blue Square North encounter.
