HARROGATE Town signed off their 2010-11 Blue Square North campaign on a disappointing note as they lost 3-0 at runners-up AFC Telford.

The result means Town finish a respectable 12th place in the table.

Meantime HARROGATE RAILWAY finished their Evo-Stik League First Division North season in real style, winning 5-1 at home to Cammell Laird on Friday.

Although they went a goal behind, Wayne Harratt‘s opener got Railway off to a great start before both Darren Barwick and Danny Thirkell grabbed two goals apiece.

KNARESBOROUGH TOWN were beaten 4-1 in the Whitworth Cup final at Harrogate Town on Thursday night,

Jared McGivern got ‘Boro’s goal, while Boroughbridge had Chris Hastings, Ben Clayton and a brace from Frazer Lancaster to thank for their cup victory.

On Sunday HARROGATE VETS made history this weekend by beating Kirk Deighton Rangers of the Claro first division, 2-1 in the final of the Harrogate FA Sunday Challenge Cup Final.

In doing so became the first Veterans side to win a senior district FA Cup final in the region.

The Vets are at Liverpool in the semi final of the National Veterans Cup.
