Tadcaster Albion rose to sixth in the NCEL Premier after a convincing 3-1 victory at Heanor Town on Wednesday night.

Heading into the contest, Albion were well aware of the threat Town posed having lost both matches against them last season.

But Brewers midfielder Terry Taylor settled the nerves as he broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time.

Youngster Vincent Dhesi then slotted home a penalty to add a second three minutes into the second half.

Albion continued to dominate the game and Paul Marshall’s men grabbed a late third through Reggie Miah.

Heanor struck a consolation of their own in the 90th minute, but the three points had already been wrapped up for Albion.
