Harrogate Town have agreed to sign York City defender Dave McGurk.
McGurk will become Town’s fourth recruit of the summer after he decided to leave York at the end of last season and turn semi-professional.
Harrogate Town boss Simon Weaver has been a long admirer of McGurk, and he played alongside the 31-year-old centre-back whilst at York in 2006.
McGurk, who started his career at fallen giants Darlington, made 284 appearances at Bootham Crescent and helped the Minstermen to promotion from the Football Conference in 2012.
He will join Leigh Franks, Shane Killock and Matt Bloomer in Town’s central defensive ranks.
Town have already signed goalkeeper Phil Barnes and strikers Ryan Kendall and James Walshaw for next season’s campaign.
