Prolific Harrogate Railway forward Nathan Cartman says he won’t be swayed by interest from other clubs as he is loving life at Station View.

Cartman has poached eight league goals this campaign and was on target again for Billy Miller’s side on Saturday in the 2-0 win at Ossett Albion.

The striker revealed he has turned down offers to leave Railway but he was “not interested” in them.

He said: “I would rather stay on a small budget where everyone knows where they are. I have a small family and I just want to enjoy my football. It’s a great set of lads.

“Everyone seems to be enjoying it a lot more too.

“Billy (Miller) and Ash (Lee Ashforth) are doing brilliantly on a small budget.

“They are honest. They tell you how it is. If they are loyal, you are going to be loyal back.”

The former Leeds United man has enjoyed a free-role of late and spearheaded a front three against FC Halifax Town on Monday .

He has scored nine goals in all competitions and sits joint sixth on the Evo-Stik First Division North goalscoring standings, one ahead of teammate Paul Beesley.

He added: “I need to keep creating chances and putting them away. Balls have been falling to me in the right areas, I’m just a poacher.

“I’ve been drifting in between the front three and it’s been good.

“I’m really enjoying it.”
