Three consecutive league losses have seen Simon Weaver’s depleted side drop to sixth in National League North, while by contrast, the Quakers have scored 16 goals in their last four games, claiming three wins and a draw to climb into second place.

With the likes of top-scorer JP Pittman and long-term injury victim Lloyd Kerry set to miss the visit of Darlington, there are also fitness concerns over a number of other key players, including Ben Parker and Luke Shiels.

Reflecting on the current situation at the club, boss Weaver said: “We will roll our sleeves up. We might have had 15 injuries in two weeks but we will still get on with it.

“That’s my character and the club’s character.”

Harrogate Railway will be looking to continue their ascent up the NCEL Premier Division when they travel to Clipstone.

Paul Beesley’s Locomotives thrashed Maltby Main 5-1 last time out and have lost just one of their last six fixtures.

Tadcaster Albion entertain Burscough in Evo-Stik Division One North, aiming to climb back up into the play-off places.

The Brewers’ 2-1 home defeat to Kendal last weekend was their first league defeat in six matches, but saw them drop down to eighth position.

They will however be confident of returning to winning ways when they take to the field against visitors who are without a win so far this campaign and sit bottom of the table.

Taddy also go into the game boosted by the news that influential attacker Josh Greening has committed his future to the club, turning down a move to Scarborough Athletic earlier this week.

In NCEL Division One, high-flying Knaresborough Town once again have the chance to go top of the table when they host struggling Teversal.

A pair of clean sheets in their goalless draw at Grimsby Borough on Saturday and a 1-0 midweek success at Rossington Main kept Paul Stansfield’s men in contention at the summit.

They currently sit in fourth place, but are just two points behind leaders Penistone, while Teversal are third bottom after just three victories from 14 games thus far.
