Harrogate Railway boss Paul Beesley has appointed Liam Ormsby as his assistant manager.

Ormsby was a playing colleague of Beesley’s at Scarborough Athletic before deciding to make the move to Station View while he recovers from a long-term injury.

Speaking of the appointment, Beesley said: “His contacts are very good around this level and he’s got great coaching experience including his own coaching business.”

Ormsby was a member of the Tadcaster Albion team that won the NCEL Premier League last season and earned promotion to the Evo-Stik League One North.

He broke his leg playing for Scarborough against his former club Taddy in an FA Cup tie back in August and has been out of action since.

Ormsby was present in the Rail dugout for Saturday’s victory over Parkgate.
