Harrogate Railway must hope ‘the worst club in the country’ pull off a miracle tonight to keep their hopes  of beating relegation themseleves alive.

Doomed New Mills face third bottom Ossett Town in a match that will determine the fate of the survival fight at Station View.

The Derbyshire outfit have yet to win in 38 attempts this season and were hammered 4-1 at Station View on Saturday.

Should Ossett make that 39, Railway will have an insurmountable 11-point gap to safety.

Ossett’s victories against Prescot Cables and Bamber Bridge over the last five days have all-but put the seal on Railway’s fate.

Harrogate would be relegated into the Northern Counties East League and join the likes of Worksop Town, Bridlington Town and Pickering Town.
