Harrogate Railway AFC boss Billy Miller has backed his FA Cup stars to make it five wins on the trot in all competitions at Evo-Stik First Division North rivals Prescot Cables this Saturday (3pm).

The ‘Rail are on fire, with last weekend’s 3-1 FA Cup first qualifying round win over Clitheroe making it nine goals scored and four conceded in an unbeaten September.

The Starbeck side have been drawn away to Conference North side Colwyn Bay in the second qualifying round on September 27.

“We could have a great day out in Wales,” said the manager. “Anything could happen when we step off the bus. We have friends in their league, so we will ask about them and go there to enjoy oursleves.”

For now, Miller’s focus is on climbing the league table with three valuable points on Merseyside.

“We’ll have to be at our best to get past Prescot,” he said. “It’s always a tight match, and we don’t take any team lightly.” Adam Baker and Jason Mycoe should return.

Miller championed his cock-a-hoop cup heroes after Saturday’s win - their second over league rivals Clitheroe in the space of five days.

He said: “We looked at their team on Saturday and knew what to do. We closed them down and worked hard to get the win.”
