Former Harrogate Railway pair Dan Thirkell and Robbie Youhill have reunited with former boss Billy Miller at newly-promoted Tadcaster Albion.

Versatile midfielder Thirkell was an ever-present figure in Railway’s relegation from the Evo-Stik First Division North but opted to leave his boyhood club at the end of the season.

He won the supporters player of the year award in his final season at Station View, in which he captained Lee Ashforth’s side.

Youhill rejoined Railway towards the end of last season in a bid to spark a late survival mission. However, the winger walked away from Station View after being left on the bench.

Both players have previously pulled on a Tadcaster shirt although Thirkell’s stay only lasted one match.

Youhill played under Paul Marshall before leaving to join Harrogate Town.

Tadcaster will replace Railway in the Evo-Stik First Division North next season after securing promotion from the Northern Counties East League.
