Boroughbridge boss Daz Ekin called on his players to finish their season with a flourish.
‘Bridge travel to Brighouse Old Boys on Saturday to end their West Yorkshire Premier season.
Andy Layton headed home a late equaliser against fellow strugglers Kippax last Saturday to draw 1-1.
Strikers Matt Thompson and Paul Eagling should return for the Brighouse trip as the boss welcomes a strong squad for the season bookend.
Eagling ran the Leeds Half Marathon last week and his fundraising earned praise from his boss.
‘Bridge’s visit will be Brighouse’s fourth match in a week and Ekin expects the run to take its toll.
He said: “They will be knackered when they play us. We want to finish with a win.”
Ekin said he will shake up his squad over the off season to stave off another relegation battle.
“We need four or five new players. The recruitment process has already started,” he said.
The gaffer said his 12th-placed side should have beaten Kippax but the draw was a fair reflection.
“They put themselves about but they weren’t the best team,” he added.
