Lee Barraclough says his Bardsey side will hassle Leeds City off the park in this Saturday’s West Yorkshire League Cup clash.

Barraclough’s men want a second triumph over City this season, after beating them2-0 in the WYAL Premier in October.

But the Keswick Laners head into the clash without first-choice centre-half Shaun Stevenson as the defender requires an operation on a knee.

“We will go with an attacking formation and get about them,” said Barraclough, who has prioritised league glory over the cup.

“If you let them play, they will destroy you, so you have to lean on them a bit.”

The table-toppers gave several fringe players a chance on Saturday as they overcame basement boys Kippax 2-1.

Rob Dickinson and Steve Palfrey both scored to stretch Bardsey’s lead at the top to seven points.

“It was the perfect comeback after Christmas,” added the boss.

“We took them to the cleaners. We must have had 80 per cent of the ball.

“Whether you win 2-1 or 10-1, it’s still three points.

“With 12 games to go, the league table is looking very good.”
