HARROGATE TOWN picked up three points at home on Saturday, beating Worcester City 1-0.

City made a decent start but Town soon got into their stride with Wayne Phillips and Graeme Armstrong setting up Ciaran Toner for a shot which grazed the crossbar.

Adam Nowakowski went close with a header but it was in the 25th minute that Town opened the scoring, when Armstrong nodded in another Phillips cross.

Town could have easily made it 2-0 in the second half but the score remained 1-0.

Town host Alfreton on Tuesday.

Meantime HARROGATE RAILWAY returned without a point from their trip to Trafford, beaten 5-2.

Luke Durham and Darren Barwick got the goals for the Station View side.
