Tadcaster Albion won’t be emulating their great FA Cup run of 2012 which saw them reach the third qualifying round, after Paul Marshall’s men exited the famous competition on Tuesday night.
Having drawn nil-nil away at Bishop Auckland in the extra-preliminary qualifying round on Friday night, Albion then welcomed the north-eastern side to 2Inspire Park on Tuesday evening for the replay.
Despite a solid first half, Albion conceded the first goal five minutes before half-time when Daniel Brunskill found the net.
Taddy kept Auckland to 1-0 until the 82nd minute when Luke Bytheway made it 2-0. Sixty seconds later Kieran Megran fired home to wrap up the tie and send the visitors through to the next round.
Albion return to Northern Counties East League matters this Saturday, with a derby away at Garforth Town.
They follow this up wiht a Bank Holiday Monday clash at Parkgate, looking to improve on their current standing of 14th.
Meantime, Albion have announced their West Riding County Cupfirst round fixture will take them to Ossett Town on Tuesday October 6.
