Ripon diver Jack Laugher has been added to the Great Britain squad for the upcoming World Series event in Edinburgh.
Laugher will compete in the 3m Springboard competition in his first senior international competition since his disappointment at the London 2012 Olympics.
The selection comes after Laugher swooped to success at the British Junior Championships last weekend.
The 18-year-old scored 631.50 points from his six dives in Leeds to beat the rest of the field by more than 100 points.
He said: “The inward dive was absolutely amazing I have never hit it that well in competition before, getting 90 points today has really helped me boost my confidence for bigger competitions coming up this year.
“I am really happy with my performance this weekend.”
The Ripon Grammar School pupil also won his third straight 3m national title at February’s British Diving Championships.
