Several Harrogate Nova members took part in the Richmond Cyclosportive, over some of the Dale’s biggest climbs.

The top three placings were taken by Nova’s Simon Ketteringham (4:31:22), Greg Ketteringham (4:31:23) and Paul Caswell (4:31:25).

These were incredible times for 100 miles.

Event six of the Fulford Cycles TT League was two laps the 18 mile Langthorpe-Kirby Hill-Skelton circuit.

It was dominated by Boneshakers Steve Smales in another course record of 39:39.

Fighting for second spot were Nova duo Paul Lamb and Duncan Mullier.

Both riders posted identical second lap times but Lamb had an 11-second advantage from the first for 41:45 and 41:56 respectively.

The ladies’ championship is also looking like a procession, with a ladies course record and four wins in four appearances from Nova’s Joanne Ketteringham (47:10) ahead of Alison Sarmiento (52:03) and Gill Crane (52:10).

Several local TTers were part of the 150 strong field at the Holm Valley Wheelers 25 on the A19.

Steve Smales came second with 52:18 with Duncan Mullier home in 55:17.

Dave Wrightson set a personal best with 1:00:44 and John Tiffany was a second off his ten-year old PB with 1:04:27. More at www.harrogatenova.com.
