Harrogate CC climbed to the top of ECB Yorkshire Premier League North standings after breezing past Woodhouse Grange.

George Ross’ men took just 17.1 overs to chase down a victory target of 155, Jack Potticary leading the visitors to a fourth straight win as he smashed seven sixes in a quick-fire half-century.

‘Gate made a fine start to proceedings as early wickets for Jon MacGregor and Tom Geeson-Brown left Woodhouse reeling at 24/3.

The hosts’ middle order rallied, but a couple of dismissals from Kallen Bond and David Foster’s 3-31 restricted them to 154/9.

Opening batsman Potticary wasted no time in laying into the Grange attack, striking 14 boundaries on his way to a 33-ball knock of 74.

Jonny Tattersall fell for 12, and Potticary was eventually removed, but Bond (40 not out) and Ross (13 not out) guided their side to 157/2 and to the top of the league.
