Collingham captain Sam Anderson hopes his side carry on where they left off on Saturday.
Collingham were hit by the weather on the weekend in their attempts to stay up with the chasing pack.
Rain permitting, they are set for a huge comeback in cup and domestic competitions, starting with a trip to current Aire Wharfe leaders Steeton in two days’ time.
Victory in that one would set up Sunday’s Waddilove Cup fixture at home to Silsden just nicely.
Anderson is backing his men to shine
“It’s a big weekend for us,” he said.
“We’ve been going really well in the league this season, but Steeton will be a difficult game. They have been scoring a lot of runs at their place this season.”
Victory for ‘Ham will see them move to the top of the pile.
Collingham 2nds have also been having a eye-catching campaign in Reserve Division Two.
They managed to swerve the rain clouds to pick up a victory on Saturday.
The team, led by Steve Booth, also have a cup quarter to get their teeth into. They travel to Horsforth in the last 16 of the Birtwhistle Cup on Sunday.
In Division Two, Bardsey will end the first half of the season with a home fixture against Pool on Saturday.
