Beckwithshaw CC were presented with the championship trophy at the Aire Wharfe League dinner in Headingley last week.
It capped a phenomenal season where the side won the 1st X1 League trophy, the Burmah Oil trophy for the most successful club across all three divisions, the Addison Evening league 20/20 cup and the Harrogate 20/20 cup for a second successive year beating Harrogate’s first team in the final.
It also capped a fantastic season individually for Ross Sedgley who won the league batting averages and Iian Hussain who won the bowling averages.
“The evening was a fitting finale to an unbelievable year and to captain the club has been fantastic,” said skipper Ben Quick.
“The commitment and work ethic has been tremendous and the achievements of our successes are finally beginning to sink in.
“We have also been really well supported by a number of key people behind the scenes.”
