Beckwithshaw continue to march on at the top of the Aire-Wharfe League after back-to-back victories over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Harrogate rivals Bilton were put to the sword by six wickets on Saturday before Alex Lilley’s men won for a six time this season by beating Ilkley by 115 runs on Monday.

Eugene Burzler (6/37) was the chief destroyer as ‘Shaw ruined the Bilton batting card as captain Vic Craven (71) was the only batsman to pass 20 in a total of 144.

Alexis Twigg (46) and Ross Sedgley (42) ensured ‘Shaw had little trouble surpassing the score, winning in 32.5 overs.

Monday’s fixtures saw Beckwithshaw demolish Ilkley by 115-runs to move ten points clear at the top of Division One with a trip to Burley-in-Wharfedale next up.

Burzler was again the star man as he topscored with 56 in Shaw’s 216/9. Three wickets apiece for Istikhar Hussain and James Lilley ousted Ilkley for just 101.
