Motorcycling superstar Dan Linfoot hailed a “fantastic feeling” after securing his first British Superbikes podium finish.
Linfoot’s racing stock continued to rise with a third place finish at Oulton Park in Cheshire.
The 26-year-old Quattro Plant Kawasaki rider finished all three races of the triple header inside the top five to crown a remarkable weekend.
His third, fourth and fifth placings came exactly a week after he led a British Superbikes race for the first time, at Thruxton.
“It feels like it’s been a long time coming,” Linfoot said on reaching the podium.
“To finally crack the podium is a fantastic feeling. It’s testament to the team who have given me a superb bike all season.”
With 40 points taken from the three races, it moved him up to fourth in the BSB standings and strengthens his claims for one of the coveted top six ‘showdown’ spots.
Linfoot added: “I’ve had some tough times in the past with bad results and going through the winter without a ride. When it all comes together like this, it makes you appreciate it more.
“At the same time though, I’m keeping my feet firmly on the ground.
“There’s still a long way to go and we’re focusing firmly on the next four races now to make sure we finish inside the top six.”
