Husband and wife team Ben and Anneke Imeson proved why they were crowned Ripon Runners’ most improved athletes by putting in personal best times at Sunday’s Snake Lane 10 race in Pocklington.
Ben (33rd) was only seven minutes behind the winner, finishing in one hour one minute and 54 seconds.
Anneke followed home in 1:20:54. Not to be outdone, Ian Swinscoe made it a hat trick of bests for the club finishing in 1:18:59.

Thirsk athletes Peter Hunt, Carol Morrison, Pat Kirby and Fran Jeffery were also involved in the Hardmoors Osmotherley Trail Races last week.
Ripon’s Martin Gabriel completed the High Cup Nick fell race on Saturday.
High winds saw a waterfall being blown back up the hill as runners battled the 1600 foot of ascent, but Martin persevered and finished in one hour 27 minutes to finish 98th.
