HARROGATE captain Ryan Bradshaw will be hoping it’s not a case of after the Lord Mayor’s Show tomorrow when he takes his charges to Driffield in the ECB Yorkshire League (noon start) writes Andrew Groves.

Large crowds gathered at St St George’s Road on Sunday to see the new £825,000 pavilion officially opened by Yorkshire and England star Tim Bresnan.

Now it’s back to business for Bradshaw as he guides his men into a new era.

“The pavilion is done now, the focus can go back on the cricketing side of things. We’ve got everything in place now,” he said.

“Recruiting players last year was always hard with the facilities we had here. But now it will make my job a lot easier. We’re looking for new players to strengthen the first team and the squad, really there will be no more excuses anymore.”

‘Gate come into tomorrow’s contest on the back of an excellent victory over Appleby Frodingham on Saturday.

After posting 188 all out through Nick Lindley (30) and Alexis Twigg (38), ‘Gate skittled their opponents for just 88. Vic Craven (4-23) and Ben Biker (3-23) doing the damage.
