Letter: This was a bonanza of entertainment

It's six decades since I regularly visited the Royal Hall to watch the likes of Shirley Crabtree.

Not forgetting the dance nights, my late wife and I enjoyed with friends. It came as a nice surprise when a friend gave me an invite, for Monday, October 24, to see his daughter in Showtime Express – around the world – with the Katrina Hughes Dancers. Normally I would be sat at home, switching channels to find something of interest. This was different, a real eye opener, since I last saw a live show. I was enthralled by the costumes (and the quick changes between scenes) thanks to help by family and friends. This ensured the continuity of the show as it flowed with music and dancing from all five continents. This was a bonanza of entertainment, fit for a West End stage .

I came home, deciding I should get out more. So can I just express my thanks to Mike Schofield, of the Shepherds Dog for an evening to remember.
