Winter fair raises cash for Harrogate man with brain tumour

A WINTER fair and raffle raised £1,680 for a young man from Harrogate suffering from a rare form of brain tumour.

The event, organised by Chris’s Ependymoma Treatment Appeal (CETA) was held at Bilton Working Men’s Club raised the money for the local young man from Kings Road in order to help him fight his rare condition.

Chris, whose identity has been kept private for his benefit, has battled 20 tumours in his brain and spine since he was eight-years-old and now requires expensive specialist treatments not always available on the NHS.
