Whilst thousands of families around Harrogate enjoyed their Bonfire Night celebrations on Wednesday, November 5, fire-fighters at Harrogate Fire Station settled in for another night of life-saving work. Our reporter, Dan Windham, went to join the fire-fighters for an overnight shift at the station to understand the work that goes on to keep families safe.
Prevention before intervention is the key message at Harrogate Fire Station nowadays and, judging from just one night shadowing the team of fire-fighters at Harrogate Fire Station, it is clear to see that message has been well received.
From joining in with circuit training to getting called out at 3.30am, no stone was left unturned as I began to realise the hard work and dedication of the fire-fighters at the station.
