Christmas is usually regarded as a time of good tidings to all men but this didn't seem to be the case on Cambridge Street this afternoon.
The Christmas spirit was in short supply as two sets of buskers refused to budge on playing their festive tunes outside Marks and Spencer.
Shoppers seemed bemused as the two groups continued to outplay the other, resulting in one of this year's more unusual Christmas collaborations.
The scene threatened to turn from Winter Wonderland to Nightmare Before Christmas as the groups nearly came to blows.
Eventually, the situation calmed down with both sets of musicians agreeing to put their musical differences aside and perform on different ends of the street.
