Over 1,200 mud-pluggers tackled the Yorkshire Warrior in perfect conditions on Saturday.
Raising cash for charity, the warriors braved water submersion, dark tunnels and plenty of mud in their bid for glory at the assault course.
Organisers Ian Bush and Danielle Brown launched the event earlier this year, and joined participants in looking forward to next year’s event, after the success of Saturday.
Ian said: “We were really lucky with the weather, both Danielle and I are absolutely ecstatic with how it went.
“The weather played a massive part in it as well, making it a good day for everyone.
“We have had some fantastic feedback on Twitter and Facebook, everyone looked like they had a good time.”
Harrogate friends Mike Barnes and Frank Hird were raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Mike said: “We have been training for the Yorkshire Warrior for a long time. It was just about as tough as we thought, you wouldn’t want it too easy!
“We have done assault courses like it before, and this was a really good one. The water submersion really took the wind out of me.”
