Upper Nidderdale Farmers’ Meeting: will take place tonight at the Crown, Lofthouse at 8pm. Iain Mann of Nidderdale AONB invites farmers to go along to find out about the Upper Nidderdale Landscape Partnership and about funding available to farmers in our area (Pateley Bridge and north) through this project.
Friends of Middlesmoor Playground: wish to inform everyone who contributed to the £50 money board, that the lucky number was 41 which was won by Craig Low, John Smith’s Brewery, Tadcaster. Thanks to everyone for their support.
Upper Nidderdale Flower Club: had a very pleasant evening last week when they visited Kath Doggett’s garden at Upper Poppleton, near York. After being guided around the garden on a glorious summer’s evening, the group then sat in the garden to enjoy tea/cakes whilst Mrs Doggett created two flower arrangements. Some of the ladies are now getting organised for August 24/26 for Bewerley Chapel Flower Festival, which takes place from 11am-5pm.

Niddart Trail 2013: starts today and runs until Bank Holiday Monday, August 26. Included in the event, are two Upper Dale venues: Ramsgill Art Studio - August 15/18/22/26 from 11am-4pm, which will exhibit beautiful paintings by Sarah Garforth, in addition to a selection of good quality, traditional and contemporary art and crafts, plus mosaics by Ruth Wilkinson. How Stean Gorge Cafe - August 15-26 (from 10am-6pm), where you can view an exhibition of original mixed media work and textile art and prints by Gill Kirk.There will also be the opportunity outdoors, to discover sculptures created by Stanger Moore.
