UPDATE: Tadcaster Sainsbury's sets up post-flood scheme

After Tadcaster residents have been devastated by floods, the local supermarket has said it is doing everything it can to help.

Following the flooding of the Sainsbury's on Mill Lane, Tadcaster the company has set up a temporary click and collect scheme so residents can continue to do their shopping.

Customers can log onto Sainsbury's website, do their shopping online and organise an allocated slot to collect their items from the store car park.

The store was damaged badly in the floods and has remained closed since but the company says it is doing everything it can to help the people of Tadcaster.

A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: *Tadcaster customers can use Sainsbury’s Click & Collect service. Orders can be collected from the Tadcaster store’s car park between 8am-1pm and 3pm-8pm Monday to Saturday, and between 10am and 4pm on Sunday.

“We are working around the clock to reopen our Tadcaster store as soon as possible.”
