Two men in hospital after serious A61 crash near Pannal

Police are investigating after a serious crash on the A61 between Harrogate and Harewood last night, July 28, left two drivers needing hospital treatment.

Officers were called to the crash near Pannal at around 8pm on Thursday involving a silver Citreon Berlingo and a red Renault Clio.

Two men were injured in the accident. One of the drivers sustained serious facial injuries in the accident with the other suffering chest injuries.

They were taken to hospital by ambulance and their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The road was temporarily closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident but is now fully re-opened.
