A motorcyclist who died in a collision on the A59 this weekend has been named.
Robert Wilkinson, 63, from Cowling near Keighley was killed in a collision near the Kettlesing junction at around 11am on Sunday, March 17.
Mr Wilkinson had been riding a motorcycle towards Skipton when he fell off the bike. He was behind a silver Mercedes which had stopped behind a blue Ford Focus waiting to turn right near the Black Bull Hotel, at the junction of Constable Ridge Road.
He was struck by a Land Rover Freelander travelling in the opposite direction and died at the scene of the collision.
An inquest into his death has been opened and adjourned today, Tuesday, March 19.
