“Regular users of the car park will know that the surface is in very poor condition and these works will significantly improve this popular car park for both residents and visitors to Knaresborough.

"The closure is necessary to ensure the works are completed both safely and efficiently and I would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank users of the car park for their co-operation whilst we undertake these essential improvements, which we aim to finish as soon as possible.”

Alternative car parks can be located at Chapel Street Fisher Street, Castle Yard, York Place and Waterside, as well as on street car parking while repairs are ongoing.
