Copenhagen, Verona and Budapest are among the seven new destinations launched from Leeds Bradford Airport.

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will launch flights to Copenhagen from March 31 and both Jet2.com and Eastern Airways are set to extend their schedules.

From Monday January 20, Eastern Airways will fly three times a day Monday to Friday (and Sunday afternoon) to Southampton.

Jet2.com will introduce five new destinations this summer. From April 3, travellers can fly directly into Hungarian capital, Budapest with a twice-weekly service. As of April 4, passengers can fly to Fuerteventura, Canary Islands and their operations to Kos in Greece will commence May 6. The airline will also start flights to Verona, Italy in May and Reus, Spain in June.

Marketing director Tony Hallwood said: “We hope Yorkshire travellers will take advantage of this increased destination choice.”
