FREE toys are being given away to community groups such as children’s homes, doctor’s surgeries and pre-schools in Harrogate.
Harrogate International Centre is giving away the toys on behalf of toy maker Casdon who exhibited in Harrogate at the recent Christmas and Gift Show.
Prior to the show, in December, Casdon were one of eight exhibitors who contributed their products to provide a festive window display in the conservatory area of HIC along King’s Road.
Whilst the toys are all brand new they cannot be used as retail stock and Casdon chairman Paul Cassidy felt that contributing to the town’s community groups is the best way forward.
He said: “We have been exhibiting in Harrogate since 1956 and we are always made most welcome by the town.
“We do good business at the show and I was delighted to be able to contribute to the festive window display and even more so to know the toys will go to the town’s childcare groups.”
There are many items to give away ranging from miniature Dyson and Henry vacuum cleaners, play washing machines and pretend cookers, and grocery, play food and pan sets.
Three items per lot will be allocated to those groups who reply first. To nominate your children’s group send details to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than January 31.
