A chef once described as creating a “Michelin star barbecue” on BBC’s The One Show is providing the food at Christmas Barbecue fundraiser for a Harrogate church’s restoration appeal.
Top barbecue chef Andy Annat has cooked for everyone from Chris Evans to the royal family.
Food critic Jay Rayner described one of Andy’s dishes as “the best beef short ribs I’ve ever tasted” and Chris Evans said that “this is like Michelin star barbecue” when Andy cooked on The One Show.
Andy Annat’s famous Crackerjack BBQ will be at Wilfrid’s Church on Duchy Road for the first time on Friday, December 9.
As well as three-course festive menu, there will be live acoustic music and a cash bar in aid of St Wilfrid’s development fund.
This event is just the latest in a year of busy fundraising activity that has raised £100,000 for the fund.
Top of the priorities list is heating for the Grade 1 listed building, which is currently in the pipeline for 2017.
