Staveley & Copgrove Parish Council: tonight (Thursday) at 7.30pm is the parish council meeting and AGM in the village hall. Topics to be discussed are: anti social behaviour, recent burglaries, access to and control of dogs in the nature reserve. The chairman of Harrogate and district Neighbourhood Watch will attend the meeting to explain how Neighbourhood Watch works and to advise people how it can help to avoid burglaries. This is your opportunity to question parish councillors and to raise any concerns you may have.

Church News: on Sunday, May 12 there will be a Eucharist Service at All Saints, Staveley at 9.30am. This year’s strawberry tea on the green will have a Coronation theme and is on Saturday 1st June, more details later.

Historical Society: the AGM of the society will be in the village hall at 7.30pm on Monday, May 13. Come along to share a glass of wine and put forward your views on any improvements that could be made.

Village Hall: the Badapple Theatre production of Lights Out Land Girls is on in the hall at 7.30pm on Thursday, May 16. This is a very popular production and tickets which are available from Pam Coatham on 01423 340505 are selling fast.

The Plant Sale and coffee morning: is on May 25 so get ready to plant up your gardens for summer with Ken’s quality plants.
