The bidding has begun on a faithful copy of TV’s most iconic sculpture, the Blue Peter ship, to raise money for Comic Relief.
Harrogate artist Steve Blaylock, who carefully crafted the show’s famous galleon in 1999, has made a perfect replica for charity which is up for auction on Ebay until tomorrow. “I will be sad to see my Blue Peter ship go, but happy in the knowledge that it will raise money for such a worthy cause,” said the sculptor who has created pieces for Sir David Attenborough and Alan Titchmarsh.
