Harrogate's smallest independent bar has won CAMRA's Pub of the Year 2017 award for Harrogate and Ripon.

The Little Alehouse was only opened last June as part of the new wave of indie craft beer bars.

Located on Cheltenham Crescent, owners Richard and Danni Park have been huge supporters from the start of microwbreweries both local and from further afield.

A dog-friendly bar, this tiny but vibrant micropub is not one to rest on its laurels - despite winning such an accolade from the Campaign for Real Ale.

It hosts regular 'take overs', including Harrogate Brewing Co in January and Welsh micro-brewery Cwrw Ial in March.

It’s also hosting the first-ever Women On Tap Beer Festival from May 19-21.

The Little Alehouse will reopen this Friday, April 14 from 2pm after a short closure for a minor refurb involving the glass-fronted area near its bar to maximise the use of space in this small but friendly bar.
