Trash was turned into treasure by pupils at Follifoot Primary School.
More than £400 was raised for their school funds by taking part in the Bags to School project which recycles textiles.
The school is then given money in exchange for old clothing and textiles.
The children collected 840kgs from both parents of the school and the community in Follifoot.
James Hinchcliffe, chairman of Friends of Follifoot School said: “I was really pleased with the response from the parents of the school and the local community. We raised £420 for school funds.”
