ONE of Yorkshire’s leading charities is giving the public the chance to have their say on how its money is spent.
Yorkshire Cancer Research, which is based in Harrogate, is the UK’s largest regional medical research charity.
It is looking for people affected by cancer and health professionals who treat or work with cancer patients to join a new advisory group to help guide the charity’s management and trustees in their decision-making.
The charity, which spends £6m a year on world-class research, treatment and diagnosis projects throughout the region, hopes the move will bring an increased emphasis on funding work that will directly benefit patients in the region.
Those interested in joining the group should urgently contact the charity’s commercial development officer Morgan Williams by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 01423 501269.
