PRIMARK has donated £1,000 towards Harrogate’s Christmas lights.
Harrogate at Christmas - which raises money to fund the seasonal display - received the cheque from the company this week.
The budget clothing chain opened its store on Cambridge Street in the town 12 months ago.
Primark’s store manager, Andrea Thornborrow, said: “We were extremely impressed by the Harrogate Christmas lights last year and having seen how hard the group works for our town, we felt we must give them our support this year.”
Coun John Fox, chairman of Harrogate at Christmas, said: “We are very pleased that Primark, one of Harrogate’s more recent arrivals, has decided to support our work.”
